When you join as a member of the JIV, you become part of a community that aims to preserve the natural beauty and safe character of Jongensfontein.
The JRA represent the ratepayers of Jongensfontein and interacts with the Hessequa Municipality regarding the upkeep and improvement of the town’s infrastructure to the satisfaction of all ratepayers.

The JIV does its best to monitor what is happening in our town via personal observation and by listening to feedback from its members. Where there are problems we try to fix them.

WE LIAISE WITH HESSEQUA AND EXPECT THEM TO PERFORM 100%
the JIV has developed an exceptionally good rapport with Hessequa personnel as well as our ward councillor and works closely with them. The only way we can resolve issues and implement new positive ideas is with this close relationship.

Hoe meer doeltreffend ons funksioneer en ‘n voorbeeld word van ‘n dorp en ‘n munisipaliteit wat werk, hoe meer gaan die waarde van ons beleggings verbeter.
SOME OF THE THINGS WE DO IN LIAISON WITH THE HESSEQUA MUNICIPALITY:
ONGOING MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION
Maintaining paths in the town and nature reserve.
Checking all aspects of our water supply system.
Also: beach dozing, lawn fertilising, sewage pump checks, inspection of ablution blocks, maintaining the safety of the tide pool, lawn watering, combating vandalism by forming a neighbourhood watch and monitoring cameras.

WATER MONITORING
Monitoring the dam, pumps and water recirculation system on a daily basis.

PROBLEMS: POWER, ROADS & A LOT MORE
Road repair, repair of water damage, major power outages, major water problems.
